UMNO Wants EPF To Ease Application Process For The Rakyat

In a statement made on UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s Facebook page, UMNO released an official statement urging the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to allow EPF account holders to withdraw a maximum of RM10,000 as a one-off policy without any conditions imposed.

Stating that this should be done for the rakyat’s benefit, he begins his media statement stating that the management of EPF did not echo the recommendations suggested by the Finance Minister during the tabling of Budget 2021.

“We have gauged the people’s response, of which a majority have expressed their disappointment at the regulations put in place by EPF with regards to the i-Sinar withdrawals.”

Zahid added that BN and UMNO parliamentarians including the youth movements will still continue the fight to ensure that their demands are met.

“At a time when the rakyat is under pressure from the neverending hold of the pandemic, it is an obligation for all of us to ensure that we ease the burden of the rakyat.”

“I ask EPF to ease application processes by not putting in place strict regulations and allow the people to enjoy one-off payments as proposed earlier.”

Stay tuned for more updates.
