UMNO elections will follow the guidelines of ROS and MKN

This year’s UMNO party election will be held with the guidelines of the Department of Registration of Societies Malaysia (ROS) and the National Security Council (MKN).

UMNO secretary general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said a letter from Majlis Kerja Tertinggi (MKT) UMNO would be sent to the ROS director general and the NSC director general to ask for advice and guidelines.

“This is for UMNO to conduct party elections this year in accordance with the rules enshrined in the UMNO Constitution and the standard operating procedure (SOP) of Covid-19.”.

“This involves 3.3 million members so that meetings can be held effectively and smoothly, taking into account the increasing number of Covid-19 infections at the moment,”.

“This is to ensure that the party election is being process, which will involve UMNO branch meetings, including the Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings, will be 66,287 meetings in all 191 Divisions nationwide.” he said when met by the media after attending a closed door meeting of MKT UMNO at the UMNO Malaysia Headquarters, Menara Dato ‘Onn,
