Selangor MCA Chief Datuk Ng Chok Sin slammed the state government for their inconsistency in managing the state’s water issues. after Selangor almost suffered through another bout of water crisis.
Adding that the continuous water woe is a highlight to the fault of Pakatan Harapan Selangor’s previous water issues, Ng said, “Air Selangor and Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) have managed to prevent another round of water crisis in time.”
“This shows that while the Pakatan Harapan state government has the resources to deal with such incidents, the latest incident indirectly highlights their past failures in controlling similar incidences.”
“Fortunately, the source of the pollution was discovered in time, averting a large-scale water disruption, although residential areas reported that water supply returned only during lunchtime on Tuesday.
Anotjhe pollution at the water source was detected, causing four water treatment plants to be temporarily disrupted, affecting 1,274 areas in the Klang Valley.
“For the first time, the Selangor Pakatan government fulfilled its duty, showing that they too are able to perform after years of criticism from both opinion leaders and the public.
“We hope the state government can achieve similar levels of efficiency in the future, instead of making excuses such as blaming it on sabotage.”
