Police investigate Tajuddin not wearing a mask

Police are investigating the Chairman of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman who was accused of not wearing a face mask when holding a press conference related to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) train accident, yesterday.

Dang Wangi Regional Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abidin Abdullah said an investigation was carried out on a video that was spread on social media showing that Tajuddin did not wear a face mask during a press conference after inspecting the location of the accident involving the train at the Kuala Lumpur LRT Station.

“Those involved in the case will be called to the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) to testify in the near future,” he said in a statement today” He said in a statement today

Investigation into the violation of standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Movement Control Order (PKP) has started on the same day.\

He said the investigation was conducted in accordance with Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) and the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Local Transport Areas) Regulations 2021.
