Bersatu president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin have asked ousted former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Faizal Azumu to give the state seat to the UMNO-DAP ‘coalition’.
His reaction, which came after his deputy president was taken out in a confidence vote tabled at the Perak State Assembly, was rooted at how disappointment the president was at the decision, which was shared by a Bersatu Majlis Pimpinan Tertinggi (MPT) member.
“In our leadership Whatsapp group, Muhyiddin informed Faizal Azumu to just give the seat to UMNO and DAP.”
“He is disappointed at how things have unfolded in Perak.”
Another source cited that the move to oust Faizal Azumu as Menteri Besar came after certain parties ‘approved’ the move as Faizal Azumu was said to be problematic during his period helming the state.
“All I can say is that someone gave the ‘green light’ to remove Faizal Azumu, but I cannot mention who.”
“What is certain is that Faizal Azumu was viewed as problematic in carrying out his duties for the state.”
