Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced the People’s Protective Package and Economic Recovery worth RM150 billion which focuses on three aspects: To continue the People’s Awareness Agenda (Rakyat Prihatin Agenda), to support businesses, and to escalate the vaccination process.

The federal government will provide RM300,000 to all Members of Parliament (MPs) for them to implement the Food Basket Aid for those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic within their respective constituencies.

The federal government is allocating RM300, 000 to all MPs including the opposition so they can help their constituents,” Muhyiddin said during a live telecast yesterday evening.

He also said RM10 million will also be allocated specifically for the Orang Asli community.

Muhyiddin added, for the Lost in Income Assistance, in October, RM500 will be channeled to those who have lost their incomes based on the Employment Provident Fund (EPF) or SOCSO in the year 2021. The assistance is estimated to benefit 1 million members and will involve financial implication of RM500 million.

The Prime Minister said his concern now is only how to help the public during this tough time. He set aside all politics and focuses on solving the pandemic issues first.
