Is UMNO a threat?

No internal crisis took place in the party, UMNO members is not crazy about power because their loyalty and sincerity is very great despite facing difficult situations.

UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi rebuked the actions of some parties who were seen to be afraid of UMNO so much so that they spread slander against the party even during the month of Ramadan.

“The grassroots and their delegates trust each other very much. UMNO members are very mature. They can assess the rotten political strategy of wanting to destroy us”

“I wonder why people are so afraid of UMNO? UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) were defeated in the 14th General Election (GE14) due to slander and UMNO is not the party that leads the Perikatan Nasional.” Zahid said in a statement.

Among the slanders were allegations that UMNO was experiencing an internal crisis as well as a fight between him and former UMNO Youth Chief, Khairy Jamaluddin

“Is this a noble practice during Ramadan? If we want to win the hearts of the people and voters, we should show good governance, create more jobs, revitalize the economy and attract foreign investment.”

“Or set the right policy during this pandemic and don’t ‘flip flop’. Handle the Covid-19 case effectively in addition to speeding up vaccination. If this happens, the people will like it. What’s important is to show mature politics,” he said.

Zahid said the current threat to the government was Covid-19 and not UMNO.
