I believe more vile games like this will be done to further destroy UMNO – Zahid

UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi denied that there was a telephone conversation between him and Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim which showed that the two leaders were grateful to each other and expressed happiness after UMNO agreed to sever ties with Pakatan Nasional (PN).

“I strongly deny the existence of the conversation as in the audio recording, in fact I would like to emphasize that there was no conversation between me and (Datuk Seri) Anwar after the recent UMNO General Assembly (PAU)” Zahid said.

He added that he will take action on the allegations.

Earlier this morning, a news portal revealed audio recordings of a phone conversations on social media and an online conversation app linking the two leaders.

Ahmad Zahid considers the matter to be a disgusting political ploy that only confirms the continuous efforts to weaken and destroy UMNO.
