Former Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad said that Malaysians should not worry about the recent expected spike in Covid-19 cases, as it results from aggressive screening in Selangor.
Taking to Twitter, Dr. Dzulkefly writes, “Beware! Numbers may rise further. Why? Because now we are doing more testing, especially mandatory (tests) on foreign workers.”
“But don’t despair!”
Give Up? No!
STFC has always said, Stop Presenting NUMBERS of daily cases like A SCOREBOARD! – wt its Cheers & Jeers!

He adds that though the numbers are ‘disheartening’, they will not ‘give up!’.
Commenting on Selangor’s recent rise in the number of cases at 1,428 out of the record high 2,235 cases, Dr. Dzulkefly said that screenings were needed to curb the further spread of the virus.
“Unashamedly, Selangor contributed 1428 of 2234 new cases. Need Correct & Coherent Policies! We need to nip it in the bud, to prevent the spread.”
Predicting the number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia will surpass that of China by next week. The “silver lining” was that the mortality rate was lower than that of South Korea and Australia.
