6,509 new case were recorded by The Ministry of Health (MOH) today and Malaysia now records a cumulative number of infections of 518,600 cases.
Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor recorded the highest number of infections at 2,049 cases.
Earlier, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said a total of 204,153 residents of the state had received at least one dose of vaccine through the National Covid-19 Immunization Program (PICK) from February 24 until today.
“In terms of percentage, 4.2 percent of the population in Selangor has received the vaccine.
“Registration so far is 2.7 million, a high number but this figure is around 1.3 of the total population of Selangor, including foreigners,” he said after the Launching Ceremony of the Selangor Prihatin Humanitarian Fund at the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Official Residence.
