The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Aidilfitri celebration is being refined by the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) together with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Security Council.
Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said it was due to the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the Aidilfitri celebration which had not been announced to the public.
“Fake, incorrect. I have not announced the Aidilfitri SOP. I have already said that I will announce the SOP regarding the celebration during Aidilfitri, which is about takbir, Aidilfitri prayers (sunat), activities on visiting and cemetery pilgrimage”
“Cross county is not allowed is not true at all,” he said when he was commenting on the alleged ban that will be enforced for a period of five days before and after Aidilfitri at a press conference.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has decided to close the operation of primary and secondary schools nationwide after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday which begins on May 16.
