Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz claims that 25 Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament (MPs) do not want Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to speak on their behalf.
Nazri said he has evidence of alleged attempts to secretly collaborate with PKR and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim without the knowledge of Umno MPs.
Nazri added he has evidence that Zahid had given a letter to the King pledging the support of all Umno MPs for Anwar Ibrahim to be the next prime minister of Malaysia in October last year.
“That letter is true and he did send it. It may be funny to him because he didn’t get our consent,” he added.
Nazri also claims that Ahmad Zahid is engaging in long phone conversations with Anwar.
However, Umno president has rubbished allegations that 25 Barisan Nasional MPs have lost confidence in his leadership.
