FGV Holdings Bhd’s group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Haris Fadzilah Hassan will be will be resigning as their CEO effective 15th May 2021.
According to a report to Bursa Malaysia today, the 53 -year -old will step down “to pursue other interests”.
FGV said that the board will be looking for a suitable candidate to take over the post of Group CEO and an announcement will be made once the candidate is identified.
Haris, who has led the company since 23rd January 2019, has an indirect interest of 25,000 shares in FGV. He is also a non independent and non executive director of MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd, which in turn is FGV’s 51% owned sugar processing unit.
Before joining FGV, he was the director of stakeholder relations and land management for Mass Rapid, Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd.
According to FGV, Haris was profound with the industry as he has more than 30 years of experience in strategy in business development, project management and operations in several industries such as oil and gas, automobile and plantations.
